Honey & Clover II

Animation:
The animation has remained pristine and sharp. The art style deviates from the norm, but it's easy to catch on to, especially if you've already seen the first season. The level of details in the charcter designs has improved even more so from the first season. It gives a very soft and smooth feel to the characters because they're so artistically drawn.
Story::
The heart of H&C's story is a slice of life series that deals with various facets of real life. It has comedy, romance, and drama. What makes the story so superb is its relational nature. H&C depicts genuine, realistic human relationships. The viewing audience can very easily relate to some of the characters in the cast. The director does a great job in exploring each character's story and ultimately bringing each to fruition in masterful fashion. Unlike its peers, H&C does not resort to the typical happy ending to conclude the series. The ending is one that is bittersweet, yet overwhelmingly fulfilling because it doesn't try to force anything but rather, to keep things realistic and genuine.
Sound:
Another strong point of H&C is the amazing soundtrack. The BGM compliments nicely the myriads of emotions depicted in this series. And many of the vocals are expertly inserted to accentuate certain scenes of importance.
Overall:
Much like its predecessor, the second season of Honey & Clover succeeds in giving the audience a heartfelt story about characters at different stages in life who ultimately are interwined through various life experiences. It is one of the best written dramas in recent memories. Fans of this genre will find H&C to be both greatly enjoyable and emotionally fulfilling.
